HOW TO WRITE YOUR FIRST BLOG POST

how to write first blog post

If you are here, it probably means that you have recently started your blog or that you have the intention to do so. First thing first, congratulations on getting into this amazing journey!
Blogging is such an amazing world, but I am not going to lie to you, in the beginning it can be overwhelming.
That’s why today I am teaching you how to write your first blog post and look like a professional blogger, even if you are new!

I remember when I first started blogging. I was in front of my WordPress editor wondering where to begin.
It wasn’t easy to write quality content, especially when you have a million other things to learn. If I have to be honest, my first posts made me cringe.
They didn’t have a good structure, and they weren’t diving deep into the problems my niche wanted to solve. It will be completely normal to create not-so-good posts in the beginning, and with the time you will improve.
However, I think that having a guide that teaches you how to write your first blog post can be very helpful to look like a professional blogger and not a complete newbie.
So, let’s begin with my tips!

FIND YOUR READERS’ PAIN POINTS

When you write a blog post, you have to keep in mind that it’s never about you. It’s always about your audience. You have to write content that they want to read and solve their problems.
Quality content is the best way to get traffic, especially if you give a solution to a common problem in your niche.
But how do you find your audience’s pain points?
I have a few different ways to discover what my audience wants to know, and here is what you can do to find your answers as well:

JOIN FACEBOOK GROUPS RELATED TO YOUR NICHE

Facebook groups are an amazing resource, not only to promote your blog but also to find out what people want to know. In these groups, you will see that people post a lot of questions. Take a look at them, and see if there is a question that it’s asked very often or it’s about the same topic.
If people ask these questions a lot, it means that they are looking for a solution, and you can provide it with your article. Check out my list of the bestFacebook groups for bloggers, so that you can implement this strategy and promote your posts as well.

SEARCH ON PINTEREST

Pinterest is a search engine, and it can be very handy when it comes to finding topics. If you already have a topic in mind, search for it on Pinterest. If there are already some pins about it, it means that it’s a common problem in your niche, and people are searching for a solution.
Ideally, you would want to cover that topic by adding your unique perspective to it. No one likes copycats, right?
Competition is good, but you have to find a way to be different and provide unique value to your readers.

SEARCH ON GOOGLE

This is obvious, but if you have a topic in mind you can search for it on Google. Are there a lot of articles about certain topics? Good, it means that people want to know about them.
Ranking on Google will not be easy, but you can start implementing SEO from the start. We will talk about it later.
